Vakude Origins: from Kimi in Cameroon. 1st settled in
Ndom near the current border.

21 In 1900 ... people concentrated on terracing than
using the flat land which could ease the problems of
culitivtion. Bird scares painted with 'nyul' beer =
'mbah'
41 Juju 1x a year first men dance near the forest
(=ritual enclosure) then in the compounds. Map shows
two caves. One wood called Leopard = leopards found
there! 'Gurah' = special hunting area - April, all
catch presented to chief. Shul = place where elders
gather to sort out the village and mark new year.
