Mbar: From Kimi, driving out Kaka towards Cameroon to
Ntong.
p8 From Kimi came to Tamnyar there they split itnto
dfferent groups founding the different villlages of
Mambila. Mbar was name of leader who founded village
and split it into different wards. He originallly
settled at Bagwun, split when this became too densley
settled. Large population 1963 but fell to 1973.
14 must be F of male and female child before can
carve jujus. Only 5 people per section can carve.
Headpieces cost N100 each
Opening of motor roads has meant that some footpaths
are no longer used eg Bagwun to Tep, SarKaka to Kum,
Bagwun to Nwah.
24 rock gongs in two caves that were rung to warn of
approach of enemies. Still played by boys going
hunting. Also a man made cave for shelter since the
caves not big enough, this is near Goum.
24 Crops grow without being planted in one place. If
eat food from there must only eat one sort else
cannot get out. Rock which cries if it hears the
words "what have exchange mothers done?"
