Kabri Sambarki: Pot suspended over grave of tradl native doctor (Nkwakebiri) origin from Ndok or Kimi. At Ndok mixed with different tribes and diff langs. Moved either because of land shortage or driven out by war with the Cambo people. Moved to near river Barki, settling at for some years Dorofi in between. Not enough land so moved on. Another version says Cambo in turn driven from Ndok by others from W Cameroon. Cambo then pushed Sambarki from Dorofi to Chana near a cave and big forest. A further account says Nkwakebiri (= the trad chief and doctor who led them to Chana) had a dream at Chana. He dreamt of death and pestilence, so said they should leave. They were attacked during juju festival had no weapons to defend themselves, pushed out to present Sambarki where there are three caves and a forest. Nkwakebiri now made them dig a defensive ditch to protect them.
